Yorkshire Coast 10k

A very popular event with upto 2000 entrants. This being the first one in two years seemed near to capacity too.

There were clubs represented from all over the North of England and it’s easy to see why people travel to run this race. The course is an out and back along the seafront starting in South Bay taking you through the open air theatre and around the sea life centre in North Bay where you return whence you came finishing back at the spa in South Bay.

A lovely wooden medal and a bottle of water awaits at the end with the organisers choosing a green approach this year with no goodie bag. All in all a fantastic event, well supported and well organised. It’s over 3 hours from the Midlands but as my brother lives here it’s very likely I’ll return and run this race again.
