After a long wet winter of training, the London Marathon is finally here and the Essington Harriers will be in attendance with 12 runners taking on the iconic TCS London Marathon 2024.
Also this week we have the Shakespeare Half and Full Marathon, Tissington Trail Half Marathon and a rundown of Parkrun results too.

Week 3 – 500th Parkrun
This weekend saw Parkrun PB’s for Kerry Garratt, Rachael Hayes and Clair Haywood and an amazing joint 500th Parkrun & 500th Parkrun Volunteer Credit to Michael Elwell – an outstanding achievement!

The year started off with a few Parkrun PBs, inaugural events and a decent amount of tourism.

A marathon is not a single day event, it’s the culmination of several months worth of hard training. And a Spring Marathon means those long Sunday rundays were during the winter months.

Week 10 : Stafford & Lisbon Half Marathon
This week we had runners at Parkrun, Stafford Half Marathon and over in Lisbon running a Half Marathon too.

Week 40 & 41
Along with the usual Parkrun results, we’ve got an update on the Virtual London Marathon results, one of our C2A runners taking on a half marathon, running in budapest, the inaugural Wellington (very nearly) 10km and a half marathon in Manchester… if only there was a full marathon there too… π€
