We’re really hoping this will be a return to running for good!

The Essington Harriers Running Club committee have been putting plans in place to make sure the return to running is safe for all our members.

Beginners group starts on April 12th 2021

Register Of Runners & Groups

Each week we will publish Monday and Wednesday night club run routes at the weekend before, and ask all members who want to run to let us know which route they would like to run.
Once we have you registered, we will split the routes up into groups of six people, and assign a staggered start time for your group.

Staggered Start Times

Once you’ve been allocated a running group, you will be give a start time.
Please be on the club car park no more than 5 minutes before or after this time.
We will have a mini run briefing, with some warm up time, before heading out on the run, this will keep the number of people on the club carpark to a minimum.
When you have finished your run, please use the side and rear car park for cool down activities, and then leave the WMC promptly to prevent too many people gathering at the end.

Groups Of Six

You will be put into a running group of six people, 5 runners and a group leader, and follow the route chosen.
Please do not change running groups, and please let us know if you can’t make the evening so we can mark it on our register.

Socially Distanced Runners

We are asking all runners to maintain a social distance while running in their group, and to be mindful of other runners who may wish to take extra precautions while out running.
We will still run in groups, and no runners will be left behind at any time.

Wellbeing

We have a COVID officer and a Wellbeing officer on our committee, you can approach Lisa Hickman or Tammy Partridge-Smith
